Painter Matthieu Dorval follows capes, headlands, isles, land’s end sceneries that carve the western margin of the European continent.

Lands open wide onto the horizon, lands that capture the eye, set energies aglow, awaken fascination.

On the basis of sketches and preliminary works produced from nature -gouache, drawings, watercolours, inks-, a number of large size canvases are created in the workshop.
